I am creating a chair that looks like a tire and you can roll it. I have sketches that I am going to post later. I started my chair with the base geometry for the top half and oriented planes radially around the center with 16 segments.

Next step is to create arc for seat, divide it with several points, project them flat and prepare for future tweaks.

SIERRA 90 VERTEX

Using the same code in grasshopper as for SIERRA 52 and making some modifications, I created new SIERRA 90 VERTEX installation, this time it is small, about 30"x10"x10".

I started with drawing a curve in Rhino, and then copied it with 60 degree rotation alone central axis. I needed to tweak it a bit to match the form that I sketched by hand previously. I checked my base shape by lofting. I did not use lofting for my grasshopper modeling, but I figured that with lofting it is much easier to see the model and adjust proportions and curvature.

Data Flower

A small project for Data Visualizaion. In this exersize, a flower (iris) is created based on the data collected from the user. Judgment is set to what data is encouraged and what is discouraged. For example, a bright color may represent that user had a good night sleep (8 hours or more). A washed out color demonstrate that user slept less then recommended and therefore, the colors are not as vibrant. Small petals may indicate that user did not exersize sufficiently.
This is a first run ... after couple of hour of work the flower is created.
