Class Outline
This workshop is designed for A.R.E. candidates who are preparing to take Building Systems 4.0 exam. It will start with review of general test requirements, review of available study materials and preparation tips. After a short break the lecture will cover acoustical, codes, regulations, electrical, environmental, lighting, plumbing, specialties and HVAC issues. The special portion of the presentation will cover mechanical and electrical layout graphic vignette.
Computer Mock Exam in class
The class will be concluded with 25 multiple choice questions mock exam and computer based mechanical & electrical graphic vignette. The Mock exam will be evaluated after the class and comments will be emailed afterwards
How to prepare
Review of “Building Systems Tools” (ARE 4.0) in NCARB software prior to the workshop will be useful. You can download NCARB practice software following this link http://www.ncarb.org/are/40/StudyAids.html
About the instructor
Tatjana Polyakova is a registered Architect in the State of California and certified LEED professional. She teaches ARE Building Planning and Building Technology seminars in San Francisco since 2004.
